The Hueston Woods State Park Nature Center is open 7 days a week all year round. General park info and history is available inside as well as several live native reptile species. The Nature Center also does Raptor Rehabilitation and accepts on average 50 injured Birds of Prey a year with a nearly 50% success rate of release. The permanent residents include a Bald Eagle, Rough-Legged Hawk, several Red-tailed Hawks, Great Horned Owls, Barred Owls, and Turkey Vultures.
Naturalists Programs are offered monthly, but during our busy season (Memorial Day thru Labor Day) programs are offered Wednesday thru Sunday.
